Since we started Meadowsweet Cakes, our philosophy has always been to deliver the highest quality, in the most ethical way possible. We source our ingredients from honest, trusted suppliers, making sure we check the quality ourselves before serving anything to our customers.
We are highly conscious of environmental ethics, always striving to minimise our carbon footprint -both on personal and professional levels-. We refrain from using any products containing Palm oil, and we're always making positive changes to maintain our Eco-friendly status.
The eggs we use are free range/organic, sourced locally and always freshly laid. Butter is 100% natural and organic, giving our cakes that delicious rich yet subtle flavour.
As for the chocolate, we use a renowned, fair trade Belgian brand that sources the finest cocoa beans, contributing to our luxurious chocolate ganache filling and covering. We source our high quality fondant from Switzerland, made from natural ingredients, and is free from additives and preservatives.
The vanilla we use for our cakes and fillings is either from vanilla pods or by using high quality Madagascan Vanilla Extract.
We only fill our cakes with our signature, luxurious Swiss Meringue Buttercream, known for its velvety smooth texture that instantly melts in your mouth. All our cakes are free from preservatives and additives.
We proudly hold a five-star hygiene rating by the North Hertfordshire Council, and we always implement the highest food safety and hygiene routines.
We supply our customers with an allergy label explaining what goes into our cakes, as well as what to remove from the cake prior to cutting.
